FAQs

How does the design process work?

Every mural begins with a free, no obligation consultation where we discuss your vision, how the space is used, and any inspiration you may have. Together we’ll create a mood board to help us align creatively and offer guidance on what’s achievable within your space and budget. You'll also receive an initial project estimate at this stage.

If you decide to move forward, a deposit secures your preferred painting date. I’ll then create a custom mural design, incorporating any agreed upon revisions.

Once the final design is approved, I’ll provide a detailed quote and timeline for the mural installation.

How much does a mural cost?

Each mural is individually quoted based on several factors including size, surface type, design complexity, and estimated time to complete. My baseline price starts at £165, which covers small, simple pieces.

Additional materials (such as specialty paints, primers, or protective coatings) are charged separately at retail cost, depending on the needs of the project.

Every space is different, let’s chat about your vision, and I’ll provide a detailed quote tailored to your project.

To secure your booking, a non refundable deposit of 25% is required. This ensures your preferred dates are reserved and allows me to begin the full design process. The remainder is due upon completion of the project, unless agreed otherwise.

What paints do you use?

For canvas work, I specialise in high quality acrylic paints. When it comes to murals, I use durable emulsion paints for large surfaces, combined with acrylics for detailed areas. Both are long lasting, vibrant, and well suited for indoor or outdoor use, ensuring your mural stays bold and beautiful over time.

Do I need to prepare the wall beforehand?

Yes. The wall should be clean, smooth, and in good condition before painting begins. Any holes or cracks will need to be filled and sanded. In some cases, an undercoat or primer may be required, which we’ll discuss during your consultation based on the surface and paint type.

If you're unsure, I can advise on what's needed or arrange the prep as part of the project.

What areas do you cover?

I’m based on the Hertfordshire/Bedfordshire border and regularly work across both counties, as well as in Essex and North London. For larger mural commissions, I’m happy to travel further just get in touch to discuss. For canvas commissions, I offer nationwide delivery within the UK.

Why are murals a good investment?

Murals are a powerful way to transform a space, they create atmosphere, tell a story, and make a lasting impression. Whether it’s in a home, business, or public space, a bespoke mural adds character and originality that you simply can’t get with mass produced art.

They’re not just decorative, they can attract customers, spark conversation, and increase the perceived value of a space. Because each mural is tailored to your vision and environment, it's a truly one of a kind piece that will stand the test of time.
